Try These Tips Before You Drive In
If you are coming from a long distance to see us it may be a good idea to call ahead and help us get and familiar with your problem. It may save you gas.
If you have an old phone that takes a sim card, it may be unlocked to use as a back up phone.
If you carry a PDA and can’t get insurance through AT&T. You can ask your (auto/home) insurance agent about a personal articles policy.
We have noticed that a lot of contacts are being lost, due to not saving them to the SIM card. (Get to know your phone).
If your phone has a memory card slot, it will help your phone function better if you take a lot of pictures or load a lot of music & ring tones.
Most people don’t know that Motorola phone tools will help do more than make ring tones. (Transfer pictures, back up contacts…).
Power cycle your phone (on/off) if you travel long distance it may help achieve a better signal.
If your phone gets wet, get the battery out and don’t put it back in.
If your phone won’t power up, take out and replace the battery & try again. (Power up).
Look at the battery, if it is really swollen or even slightly the cells have been compromised.
There are a lot of phones out there. If you are hard on things ask about repair ability, parts for a lot of phones are in our inventory and all special order w / deposit.
When phones get wet, the amount of power triples as the water magnifies the current. Some phones do come back, some don’t. (If carry one that has been up for 10 months now) (Z3).
Motorola V3 chargers are different than PDA ports. They look alike but one is different amperage (8125, 8525 and 8925) (8100, 8300, 8800).
If you are considering purchasing a PDA, make sure your service is unlimited to avoid any complication or extra expenses.
We try not to keep any sim cards / memory cards when we take in your phone. (We don’t want to lose your info.)
